Road Trip Counting
There are opportunities for preschoolers to learn everywhere you look. We especially love to count! We count toys, crayons, birds in the sky, cars on the road, you name it! Enjoy this video inspired by our latest road trip counting cars!
I create this video for my son, Davis, when he was 3 years old. He loved cars and was able to count to ten but had trouble with the order of 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17. 18. 19 and 20! Once children successfully count to 20, the ability to count beyond 20 becomes much easier!
Use this video to introduce the numbers 11-20. You can extend this activity by inviting your child to count other household items: blocks, books, forks, you name it!
Road Trip Counting will help with number recognition! You can repeat this video once a day until your little one has mastered the numbers 1 through 20!
Remember: The goal of early childhood education is to create a love of learning, so keep it fun, short and interactive!
